Is this the future for city travel

A few years ago the idea of electric cars as a real city choice seemed decades away – not so...  Since then the number of models available from different manufactures (G-Wiz, NICE, GEM and Smart Car) has grown and the electric car is becoming a common sight in central London.

Well done to Westminster City Council who in conjunction with other bodies have set about installing on-street car charging stations like this one in Hinde Street, Marylebone.  There are also charging points at most Westminster Council car parks.  Electric cars are exempt from the congestion charge and road tax.
